What about super PACs, whose names often obscure their intent, and whose spending is unconstrained?

The public is invited to discuss these issues and the role of money in politics after viewing the DARK MONEY film.

Williamsville Screening: Film Examines Social & Environmental Costs of Coal Power

Please join the Clean Air Coalition for the Williamsville screening of the film "Dirty Business." This Peter Bull documentary investigates the numerous health and environmental impacts of the coal industry in communities across America and the world. 

The screening will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at Clearfield Library, 770 Hopkins Rd., Williamsville from 6-8PM. [Map]

The film will be followed by a brief discussion of the impacts of burning coal here in WNY. Light refreshments will be served.

Sierra Club Niagara Group will show “Comfort Zone” -- a one hour film on what climate change will do to Western New York.

“Comfort Zone” brings the global issue of climate change to a local and personal level. It's the story of what happens when we try to translate this global problem to our individual lives. What is at stake? What can I do about it? What if dealing with this problem asks things of me that I'm not yet ready to give? The climate is already changing. Now what about us?
